Spanish Peaks Hospital is designated a Level IV Trauma Center, meaning that we are capable of receiving and stabilizing any trauma patient, including those with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. To obtain this designation, we had to pass stringent state requirements regarding the major clinical and support service departments in the Hospital.

Once stabilized, patients may be transported from the Hospital in a helicopter if necessary since we are equipped with a helipad adjacent to the emergency room.
